The planning for the Mesa Training Retreat Cabin continues to progress. Recently, guided by Geshela’s insights, the team has been deeply exploring the practical usage and functions of the space, focusing on creating an immersive environment that blends local characteristics with deep practice.
Local Materials and Design Communication
Recently, the team has engaged in in-depth creative communication and deepening with Tony’s design team. Situated right outside Geshela’s home on a mesa, the retreat cabin will be constructed using local natural materials such as Adobe, achieving an organic integration between the architecture and the natural landscape. Centered around spatial layout, daily routines, and the practical needs of retreat training, the team is further refining design intents and visual tones through the design mood board.
This marks the transition of the Mesa Training Retreat Cabin from early conceptual planning into the deepening stage of how to materialize and serve deep practice. Future designs will carry forward the core spirit of the Twin Deserts base, providing practitioners with a pure training space away from the hustle and bustle to return inward.
