This pillar is dedicated to supporting the research, digitization, and global dissemination of Dunhuang ancient texts and other significant cultural heritage. We place special focus on digital preservation and modern applications that reflect the classics wisdom and spirit of cultural exchange found along the Silk Road. Our goal is to bring the vast collection of Dunhuang documents out of the ivory tower and into modern life, making new contributions to global Dunhuang studies.
Retreat Cabin Construction Project
Dunhuang West retreat cabin is a visionary international collaborative research project. It aims to revive the ancient tradition of grotto retreats by constructing meditation caves of a unique style in Arizona.
Exploring sustainable construction solutions for treehouse-style retreat spaces, integrating topography, ecology, and long-term functional requirements.
The design team officially joins, driving the conceptual exploration of the site layout and spatial forms.
Centered on the core goals of "space, silence, and creativity," a phased design strategy has been established.
Project communication and site surveys progressed simultaneously, optimizing the functional specifications of the retreat space.
Surveying and geological research completed, establishing the construction direction for the retreat spaces.

Today, the concept of “Innovation Retreats” brings this timeless tool back into the modern world. It is designed to help us achieve unexpected, high-impact breakthroughs in both our professional careers and personal lives.
