In the AI Era, Re-understanding Irreplaceable Humanistic Business Wisdom
In late April 2026, Stanley Chen’s “Extraordinary Ancient Business Wisdom” public lecture tour was successfully held in Beijing and Shenzhen.
The two events adopted a hybrid online and offline format. The Beijing session brought together approximately 300 innovators, while the Shenzhen session attracted over 600 participants, all joining to explore how ancient classics can address the real challenges faced by modern business leaders in the age of rapid AI advancement.
During the lecture tour, Stanley Chen delved into the original text of the Diamond Cutter Sutra, centering on the classic “Three Questions and Three Answers”— “How should one abide? How should one practice? How should one subdue the mind?” —and mapped these to contemporary business concepts: strategic focus, behavioral cultivation, and the management of mental strength.
This was not merely citing a classic as a cultural symbol, but an attempt to distill a thinking structure from within the text that can be understood, trained, and practiced by modern individuals.
At the venues, participants also viewed precious clips of Geshe Michael’s previous teachings delivered in Dunhuang. Through the integration of original classic texts, modern business case studies, and the Dunhuang West practice path, participants gained a new understanding: ancient wisdom does not remain in the past, but can serve as a vital resource for contemporary decision-making, innovation, and long-term growth.
The enthusiastic feedback from both Beijing and Shenzhen further demonstrates that beyond the inspiration of a single public lecture, what more and more practitioners need is a long-term training path that is more systematic, deeper, and supported by a continuous practice environment.
